AOIFE RAFTERY Named to Inaugural DirtFish Women in Motorsport Driver Programme

• AOIFE RAFTERY, the 24-year-old Galway native, has been selected alongside American circuit racer MICHELE ABBATE as one of two inaugural drivers for DirtFish Rally School’s Women in Motorsport programme – a first-of-its-kind initiative from the Seattle-based institution that’s been training rally drivers for 15 years.
• The Irish talent brings serious credentials to the table, having rapidly climbed from domestic Irish and British stages to the Junior European Rally Championship in 2023, then capping off 2024 with a class win at Ulster Rally and a podium finish in the final Junior British Rally Championship round.
• Both RAFTERY and ABBATE will serve as key panellists at DirtFish’s Women in Motorsport summit in May, positioning them as voices for the next generation – because when one of the world’s leading rally schools puts its weight behind increasing women’s participation, we pay attention.
