GRRL! SUMMARY:
- GABRIELA JÍLKOVÁ delivered the weekend’s standout performance with a masterful fourth-place finish in Race 2, climbing from seventh after an ambitious but unsuccessful opening lap move. The Czech driver’s recovery drive showcased proper racecraft, methodically picking off competitors and closing a 2.5-second gap to under one second through consistently fast lap times that matched the frontrunners.
- CAITLIN WOOD had her breakthrough weekend with career-best qualifying in fourth and a solid fifth-place finish in Race 1. The Australian showed she belongs in the top tier, running competitive lap times in the 1:05.9s and defending well against seasoned drivers, proving that when the car cooperates, she can deliver the goods we’ve been waiting to see from her.
- FABIENNE WOHLWEND’s weekend epitomized the frustrating technical lottery that too often derails promising performances. Running strongly in fifth and posting times in the 1:04.8s that had her closing on Wood, a gearbox failure on the final lap robbed her of a well-deserved top-five finish, dropping her two laps down after 19 laps of brilliant driving.
- The weekend’s darker side saw LAURA CAMPS TORRAS completely sidelined by persistent technical issues and ALEXANDRA HERVÉ suffering a heavy crash due to brake problems, though thankfully emerging uninjured. Meanwhile, JEM HEPWORTH salvaged seventh place in a clean, well-managed drive that helped her team maintain championship momentum despite the chaos around her.
