Sheena Monk is a trailblazing American motorsports racer who has risen from family-inspired beginnings to professional success in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, securing her first career IMSA podium in 2024.
EARLY YEARS
Growing up in a racing family, Sheena was heavily influenced by her father’s professional Moto-racing career. She shared dirt bikes and off-road go-karts with her brother, and it was during one of their recreational track days that she was scouted for her racing poise despite minimal formal racing experience[2]. This early exposure to motorsports laid the foundation for her future racing career.
EARLY SUCCESS
At age 28, Sheena began her professional journey through a fast-track racing license course at Lamborghini. Her racing debut came in the 2017 North American Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series in Imola, Italy, where she impressively finished 3rd in class[2]. In 2018, she demonstrated her potential by securing her first class win at Virginia International Raceway in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo LB Cup, though the season was marred by a serious crash at Laguna Seca that left her with nine fractures[1][4]. Undeterred, she returned to racing in 2019, finishing fourth in the championship with five podium finishes and competing in the World Final at Jerez.
