  Caroline Candas is a rising French motorsport driver who won the inaugural RAFA Racing Shootout in 2023, securing a fully funded seat in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America for 2024.

  EARLY YEARS

  Born into a non-racing family, Caroline’s interest in motorsports was sparked when her brother began racing go-karts, leading her to follow the same path. Her father Patrice, a passionate motorsport fan who first attended the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1973, significantly influenced her ambition to race at the legendary circuit. Growing up in Le Mans, her daily commute to university often takes her along parts of the Circuit de la Sarthe, constantly reinforcing her dream of competing in the iconic endurance race.

  EARLY SUCCESS

  After developing her skills in karting, Caroline transitioned to car racing at the beginning of 2022, competing in front-wheel-drive Touring Cars in the FFSA TC championship in France. Despite limited funding, she managed to secure a third-place finish in her debut season. Her breakthrough came in 2023 when she won the inaugural RAFA Racing Club Driver Shootout, despite being the only competitor without rear-wheel-drive experience. This victory earned her a fully-funded seat in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America for 2024, where she excelled by claiming multiple podiums and race wins at circuits like Sebring and Watkins Glen.

  NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

  • 2023: Won the inaugural RAFA Racing Club shootout, securing a fully-funded drive in Porsche Sprint Challenge North America[1].
  • 2023: Scored seven podium finishes in the first 12 races of the FFSA TC season, including three runner-up finishes[2].

  For 2025, Caroline will continue with RAFA Racing Team, making her debut in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup. She is scheduled to contest the first two races at Daytona International Speedway, marking her first appearance at this iconic Florida venue[2][3]. Her ultimate ambition remains competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a dream fueled by her upbringing in the city and her father’s passion for the event. Through her continued development in sports car racing, she aims to climb the endurance racing ladder toward her Le Mans goal.
