From October 2024 – April 2025, members of the Universal Technical Institute (UTI) family of schools, including MIAT College of Technology, NASCAR Technical Institute, Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, and Marine Mechanics Institute, were rebranded as UTI.

Growing up, Caitlyn Brown was always around racing. She and her dad raced, and she’d work on her own racing vehicles.

She enrolled at NASCAR Technical Institute to pursue her dream of a career in the racing industry. Today, she works as an automotive technician for Penske Racing. She says it’s very humbling and an amazing opportunity to be able to work on the racing cars she loves every day.

Caitlyn chose to study at NASCAR Tech because it’s in the hub of NASCAR and racing, with knowledgeable and experienced instructors who pass on valuable information. She says attending the school allowed her to immerse herself in the racing culture, which has been thrilling.

Caitlyn’s family and supporters back home are very proud of her for working on her passion. She says she’s happy she chose the educational and career path she did.
