ALICE BUCKLEY Takes First Supercar Laps at Queensland Raceway Super2 Test

• ALICE BUCKLEY got her first taste of Supercar power at Queensland Raceway, testing Matt Stone Racing’s Triple Eight-built ZB Commodore as she eyes a 2026 Super2 debut. The 18-year-old called the experience “amazing” and “very surreal,” marking a major step up from her previous Toyota 86 and TA2 machinery.
• Her path to this moment hasn’t been smooth – after winning her first two TA2 starts in June and August, a gearbox failure at The Bend left her with an arm injury that sidelined her for two months. That setback forced her to miss a planned Super2 test with Eggleston Motorsport at Winton, which Supercars had arranged as part of their push to bring more women into the category.
• BUCKLEY shared the test day with fellow Super2 hopeful Tommy Smith, while confirmed 2025 MSR driver Ayrton Hodson also cut laps in the team’s Gen3 Camaro. The evaluation follows similar outings by Grove Racing and Erebus Motorsport, showing how teams are actively scouting talent for the competitive second-tier series.
