Victoria “Vicky” Farfus is a Brazilian-Italian karting talent who jumped straight into international competition when she started racing in March 2023, proving that sometimes the best way to learn is by diving into the deep end—and making waves while you’re at it.

EARLY YEARS

Growing up as the daughter of Brazilian BMW Motorsport works driver Augusto Farfus and his wife Liri (also known as Elirane), Victoria was practically born into the racing world. Her father has been a fixture in motorsport since 2006, living in Monaco and competing at the highest levels of touring car racing. When Vicky expressed her desire to become a racing driver, she had her father’s full support—because when your dad has won the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, he knows a thing or two about commitment.

Victoria got her first taste of karting at age 11, testing the waters before making the bold decision to skip the usual gradual progression and jump straight into international-level competition. It’s the kind of audacious move that either marks you as fearless or slightly unhinged—in her case, it appears to be working out just fine.

Beyond the track, Victoria has shown interest in the broader motorsport community and its initiatives supporting women in racing. She interviewed F1 Academy 2023 Champion and Iron Dames driver Marta García, demonstrating that she’s not just focused on her own career but genuinely engaged with the journeys of female racers paving the way ahead of her.

EARLY SUCCESS

Victoria’s racing debut in March 2023 was anything but tentative. She entered her first racing season by competing in the 50-mile kart race at Granja Viana in Brazil, where she promptly finished third in her first championship. Not a bad way to announce your arrival. From there, she moved into the Mini 60 class at international level, making her first appearance in the Champions of the Future Academy Program.

In December 2023, Victoria participated in an Iron Dames scouting initiative held in Aragon, where she emerged as one of the most promising talents. The result? She and fellow young driver Mia Oger were signed to the Iron Dames karting roster in April 2024, joining one of the most high-profile all-female racing programs in motorsport. At just 12 years old at the time of signing, she became part of a groundbreaking team known for its iconic pink livery and commitment to elevating women in racing.

Her 2024 season included extensive testing and participation in both the ROK and WSK championships. She also competed in the Champions of the Future Academy (COFTA) program—a global karting initiative linked to F1 Academy—racing in Mini 60 and later moving up to OK-N Junior. At Round 1 in Portugal, Victoria qualified in P12 and made her mark on track alongside fellow rising stars Sara Matsui and Angelina Simons Torres. By Round 3 in Italy, she was right at home, posting the fifth-best time in qualifying and playing for the win.

By 2025, now 13 years old, Victoria was competing in the OK-N Junior class in championships including the WSK Final Cup in Franciacorta and various FIA Karting events. She finished ninth in the overall OK-N Junior standings with 141 points after an exciting series that saw 14 different winners. Her performance earned her a spot in F1 Academy’s “Discover Your Drive” supported-driver program for Mini 60, with her first event scheduled for March 27–31, 2025, in Cremona, Italy.

Jumping straight into international competition without a gradual buildup takes guts, and her consistent presence in competitive fields—often as the highest-finishing female driver—shows she’s not just there to participate; she’s there to win. Her association with Iron Dames, a team synonymous with supporting and elevating female talent, has only raised her profile further. At 13, she’s already being watched as part of the next generation of female racers coming through the pipeline, and she seems entirely unfazed by the attention.

FUTURE GOALS/PLANS

Victoria’s 2025 season includes competing in the Champions of the Future Academy program with events scheduled across Portugal, Italy, and beyond, culminating in a title showdown at Al Forsan to decide the 2025 championships in Mini, OK-N Junior, and Senior classes. As a supported driver in F1 Academy’s “Discover Your Drive” program, she’s positioned within the pathway designed to nurture young female talent toward single-seater racing and, ultimately, F1 Academy itself. With the inaugural F1 Academy rookie test announced and continued collaboration with COFTA, the roadmap is clear—and Victoria is right in the middle of it.
