GINA BOVAIRD to Lead Fast Fearless Females Theme at FIM Vintage Championships

• GINA BOVAIRD, AMA and Motorsports Hall of Fame nominee, named Grand Marshal for June 12-14 FIM North America Vintage Road Racing Championships at New Hampshire Motor Speedway during Laconia Bike Week.
• Boston native shattered barriers in 1980 as first woman to qualify for Daytona 200 on Yamaha TZ500 with fastest rookie trap speed at 184 mph, finished 25th in 1981.
• Made history at 1981 French Grand Prix of Nogaro, becoming first woman to qualify and start in 500cc class of FIM Grand Prix World Championships after recording fastest trap speed at 144 mph in 1975 Daytona Novice race.
• Fast Fearless Females theme honors female pioneers across 24th annual FIM-sanctioned championship weekend, featuring three-hour Trackmaster Triple Crown Endurance Series race Friday and museum reception Saturday evening.
