Video Description from YouTube:
Divina Galica is a true pioneer in sport and motorsport. As a three-time British Winter Olympian in alpine skiing (1964, 1968, 1972), she represented her country at the highest level on the slopes before making an extraordinary transition to motor racing. In the mid-1970s, she entered multiple Formula One races in an attempt to qualify for the grid, including the 1976 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch. Although she narrowly missed out on racing in F1, she continued to build her career in single-seater categories across the UK and Europe, competing in highly competitive motorsport events at a time when opportunities for women were extremely limited. Galica’s story is one of determination, courage, and breaking barriers, proving that with passion and skill, it’s possible to excel in more than one elite sport.
