Video Description from YouTube:

Let’s test drive and review the new 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland!

The Toyota bZ’s story traces back to the bZ4X concept SUV from 2021. The bZ4X concept was co-developed with Subaru, and Toyota said at its debut that bZ — which stands for Beyond Zero — would be a moniker for future Toyota EVs.

“bZ4X” turned out to be a mouthful as a production-car name, so Toyota has since shortened it to just “bZ.” The bZ is still a Toyota-Subaru project, and the Subaru version of this bZ Woodland is the Subaru Trailseeker. Both of them are marketed as more rugged and ready for adventure, and Toyota says this bZ Woodland should be at U.S. dealerships in March 2026.

Compared to the regular bZ, the bZ Woodland is 6 inches longer. You get 8.4 inches of ground clearance, standard roof rails, a panoramic view and terrain monitor, and up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity. This is a different model from the regular bZ, which is a Toyobaru twin with the Subaru Solterra.

The Toyota bZ Woodland comes standard with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup, which makes 375 horsepower and, according to Toyota, can hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. If you get a bZ with normal all-season tires, your EPA-estimated range will be 281 miles. If you get all-terrains, it’s 260. Toyota’s offering all-terrains as a $0 option, and the company says due to the range hit, not charging for the all-terrains makes sense.

You also get a thing called “X-Mode,” which is basically torque vectoring and brake control at different wheels. When a vehicle’s software is able to send power — and braking power — to different wheels, it can help with traction in situations where certain wheels may have more or less grip than others.

The bZ Woodland has an NACS charging port, which, to a lot of people, is the “Tesla port” and is thus decently available on road trips. Toyota says with DC fast charging, you can go from 10 to 80 percent in “around 30 minutes.”

You also have battery preconditioning, which gets the battery to the optimal temperature for DC fast charging while you’re on the way to the charger. It’s a great feature on EVs, because faster charging is more convenient.

In this video, we’ll talk all about the driving and user experience in a bZ Woodland. It’s a fast wagon, so it should be a fun time.

Thanks for watching my YouTube channel. Enjoy the drive (and the video)!
