“This year has been a lot easier than last year. Going to each track this season has been much more of a breeze for me, so everything has been easier, but a lot has happened, as well. Everything has kind of gone hand in hand.”

Stephanie's bio:
Stephanie Moyer is an American stock-car racer who grew up inside a racing family and worked her way from Champ Karts and a local Pennsylvania short track to the ARCA Menards Series, earning selection as one of NASCAR’s inaugural Busch Light Accelerate Her participants along the way [1][2].
EARLY YEARS
Moyer grew up in Pennsylvania watching her father, Mike Moyer Sr., and her brother, Mike Moyer Jr., compete at Evergreen Raceway [1]. That ringside view was enough to pull her in. She began racing Champ Karts in 2010, with her brother advising her on kart setup and encouraging patience and a methodical approach to driving [2].
The next step came with a deal struck closer to home. Her mother agreed that Stephanie could drive her late brother’s Factory Stock car at Evergreen Raceway — on one condition: win a championship first. She did exactly that in 2011, and earned the keys [2].
While studying at the University of Northwestern Ohio, Moyer joined the school’s race club and pursued an internship as a mechanic with Mason Mitchell Motorsports [1]. That experience reshaped what she understood the sport to actually involve. “ARCA was certainly a lot different than what I was doing,” she said later. “There’s so much to learn and do in this series along with all the technical parts. With Mason, I learned all about different setups and the technical aspects of the racing industry.” [2] A first visit to Daytona during that internship helped push her toward pursuing racing professionally [1].
EARLY SUCCESS
The Factory Stock championship at Evergreen Raceway in 2011 was Moyer’s proof of concept — and the price of admission to her late brother’s car [2]. She kept competing at the local level and added further Factory Stock titles in 2017 and 2020 [3]. By the time she was ready to make a move toward professional competition, she had three championships on her résumé and a clear sense of what the next level would demand.
The path to ARCA ran through a timely introduction. Johnny Davis recommended that Moyer get in touch with Fast Track Racing operator Andy Hillenburg, and Hillenburg gave her the opportunity [2]. Her 2021 rookie season in the ARCA Menards Series and the ARCA Menards Series East required adjustment — learning not only new tracks but the technical depth that professional stock-car racing demands. She finished 10th in East points that year [1].
In 2022, her first full season in the ARCA Menards Series East with Fast Track Racing, Moyer finished fourth in points [2]. By her own account, the year felt markedly more manageable than the one before it. “This year has been a lot easier than last year,” she said. “Going to each track this season has been much more of a breeze for me, so everything has been easier, but a lot has happened, as well. Everything has kind of gone hand in hand.” [2] She returned in 2023 with Fast Track Racing, driving the No. 11 Toyota, and finished 17th at the General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, four laps down [4].
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2011: Won the Factory Stock championship at Evergreen Raceway, fulfilling the condition her mother set for driving her late brother’s car [2].
- 2017: Factory Stock division title at Evergreen Raceway [3].
- 2020: Factory Stock division title at Evergreen Raceway [3].
- 2021: Finished 10th in ARCA Menards Series East points in her rookie season; recorded a career-best 15th-place finish at Pocono [1][5].
- 2022: Finished fourth in ARCA Menards Series East points in her first full season with Fast Track Racing [2].
- 2022: Named an inaugural participant in NASCAR’s Busch Light Accelerate Her program [1].
- 2023: Started the General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the No. 11 Toyota for Fast Track Racing [4].
INSPIRATIONS
The thread running through Moyer’s career is her late brother. She drove his Factory Stock car after winning that first championship, and the weight of that is not lost on her. “I have two championships in his car, and now I’m taking things a step further,” she said. “I know he would be very proud.” [2] Carrying his legacy forward has been a stated part of why she races and what she is working toward [2].
She has also spoken about what NASCAR’s Accelerate Her program represents — not just for her specifically, but for what it signals about women in the sport. She said in 2022 that the program mattered because it aimed to help her and other women in NASCAR reach their goals and compete at the highest level [1].
REPUTATION
Andy Hillenburg, the owner of Fast Track Racing, has been direct about what he sees in Moyer. He described her as having “tremendous potential” and pointed specifically to her consistency as a measurable strength — little drop-off in lap times across a run [2]. His assessment in 2022 was also candid about the constraint: more sponsorship had allowed the team to do more, but additional funding was still needed to give Moyer the resources to show what she was capable of [2].
NASCAR’s decision to include her among the inaugural group of Busch Light Accelerate Her participants in 2022 placed her in a cohort the series identified as women with the potential to advance through its ranks [1].
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
As of late 2022, Moyer’s stated ambitions pointed clearly upward: continued progress through ARCA, competition with top-tier organizations, and an eventual move toward the highest levels of NASCAR [2]. She was also focused on the funding side of the equation — securing the sponsorship that would allow Fast Track Racing to demonstrate what the team could do with full resources [2]. A verified racing program beyond 2023 has not been confirmed in available sources [5].
