Bea's bio:
Bea Eguiraun is a Spanish motorcycle journalist, presenter, and test rider who has built a career at the intersection of two-wheel culture and broadcast media, spending more than a decade telling the story of motorcycling for Spanish television and digital audiences.
EARLY YEARS
Eguiraun’s interest in motorcycles took hold when she was nine years old [1]. Her path into the world of bikes was not an obvious one — her parents disapproved of her motorcycle-focused lifestyle and her decision to travel for motorcycling, viewing it as an unsuitable environment for a woman [1]. She pursued a degree in Advertising and Public Relations at Complutense University of Madrid and followed that with further studies in applied communication at Villanueva University Center [2]. The academic background in communication would prove useful; her route into motorcycling ran through writing long before it ran through riding.
OTHER INTERESTS
Café racers occupy a particular place in Eguiraun’s motorcycle life. She has described noticing them on the road and then using research and writing as the way she came to truly understand them [2]. In a BMW interview she put it plainly: “Solía verlas en las carreteras todo el tiempo y me gustaban. Pero fue sólo cuando empecé a investigarlas y escribir sobre ellas cuando realmente empecé a entenderlas.” (“I used to see them on the roads all the time and I liked them. But it was only when I started researching them and writing about them that I really began to understand them.”) [2] She eventually chose a 1983 BMW R80 as her own café racer [1]. Her television work has taken her across motorcycle disciplines — she tests motocross, enduro, and racing models, and travels in search of motorcycles [3].
EARLY SUCCESS
Eguiraun began her professional work in the sports sector in 2014, editing social-media content and participating in MotoGP broadcasts through Dorna Sports [2]. The role established her credentials in the MotoGP paddock environment and gave her a platform that led to television. In 2017 she joined Centímetros Cúbicos on Antena 3, working as a presenter and motorcycle tester [4]. Two years later, in 2019, she was named among the journalists on Locos por las Motos, a motorcycle magazine program that aired on BeMad and Mediaset, with her involvement announced by the Spanish Motorcycle Federation [5].
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2014: Began professional motorsport work creating social-media content and working on MotoGP broadcasts with Dorna Sports [2].
- 2017: Joined Centímetros Cúbicos on Antena 3 as presenter and motorcycle tester [4].
- 2019: Listed as a journalist and presenter on Locos por las Motos (BeMad / Mediaset), announced by the Spanish Motorcycle Federation [5].
- 2026: Participated in the Max vs 100 karting event at Silverstone, finishing 75th in the published results [6].
INSPIRATIONS
Café racers caught her attention first on the road, and it was the act of researching and writing about them that deepened the connection [1]. The progression from observer to writer to rider reflects how her relationship with motorcycles developed — understanding came through immersion, and immersion eventually led to testing bikes on television and, later, climbing into a kart at Silverstone [6].
REPUTATION
Reporting consistently identifies Eguiraun as a motorcycle presenter, journalist, and test rider [4] [6]. Her work spans social content, broadcast television, and hands-on motorcycle testing across multiple disciplines including motocross, enduro, and racing models [3]. By 2026, ESPN was describing her as a motorsport content creator, motorcycle presenter, and test rider when profiling her as a participant in the Max vs 100 event [6].
