In conjunction with the nationwide community safety campaign that began on October 11th, professional race car driver Juju (real name Juju Noda), a native of Mimasaka City, served as a one-day police chief and conducted awareness-raising activities.
Juju, appointed as the one-day police chief of Mimasaka Police Station, began by addressing crime prevention volunteers, calling for the prevention of fraud and other crimes.

“I am honored to have this wonderful opportunity in Mimasaka, where I grew up, to serve as the one-day police chief of Mimasaka. I myself am still in the process of growing… but… I’m sorry, I’m a little nervous wearing this uniform.”
Despite her nervousness, Juju then got into a patrol car…

“There was a different kind of tension (compared to racing). I want to carry this feeling into the race.”
Afterward, she attended the departure ceremony for the crime prevention patrol team.

“Everyone, please be careful about traffic safety and protect the safety and security of our town. Now, let’s depart.”
On the 13th, many fans from within and outside the prefecture came to enjoy interacting with Juju.

“She looked cute in her uniform. I came from Tokyo. Good luck, Juju!”
“I’ve known her since she was in elementary school, so I was surprised to see how much she’s grown. She’s aiming for the world stage, so she’s a girl that Mimasaka can be proud of.”
Juju is currently competing in Super Formula, a domestic racing series, as the youngest ever participant and the first Japanese woman to compete in this series.

“When I come back here and so many people tell me to do my best, even though I’m racing outside my hometown, it makes me want to bring good news back to my hometown, and it gives me power and courage.”
The National Community Safety Campaign will continue until October 20th, with awareness campaigns taking place in various locations.
