What This Channel Is All About

My journey into the world of motorcycles didn’t start the usual way.

In 2014, a life-altering cycling accident left me facing seven years of recovery, seven complex surgeries, a reconstructed hip and shoulder, and the daunting task of learning to walk again.

Living with chronic pain changed my perspective on life forever. It was during this recovery that I discovered motorcycles — and they completely transformed my world.

Today, I’m a full-time motorcycle racer, international adventurer, TEDx motivational speaker, award-winning motivational speaker, presenter and a mum balancing it all.

Vanessa Ruck, aka The Girl On A Bike, is an international motorcycle racer, adventure rider, presenter, TEDx and award-winning motivational speaker, creator and mum.

Hit by a car while cycling in 2014, she endured seven years of recovery and seven surgeries to her right hip and shoulder. Discovering motorcycles brought her more freedom, racing and adventure.

She has ridden in 35+ countries, tackling hard enduro, rallies, extreme off-road events and road touring.
