UNFINISHED BUSINESS: MAX’S LAST MISSING TROPHY.

I think Max will win the one race that’s always eluded him and win race at every single track on the current calendar. But for the first time since Abu Dhabi 2021… is it Max vs Lewis for the win? (Because up to Turn 14 they were neck and neck, just like old Times).

Yeah it’s easy to overlook the guy in P6. 0.546s off pole, complaining of oversteer.

But that guy is Sir Lewis Hamilton. Poetic eh? And even with an oversteering car Snapping at T8 and T10 he is neck and neck with Max up to Turn 14. Yep, just like old times.

He then catches his own team mate on a cool lap and bleeds time all the way to the flag finishing over half a second off pole. Tyres remember here, you make one mistake here, spike wheel spin and temps shoot up and they never recover back to optimum, making more and more oversteer that spirals and punishes you for the rest of the lap.

Max nailed it today and deserves the Pole. I still think he will win on Sunday.

BUT With a couple of clicks of front wing and a clear track. Is Lewis Max’s biggest threat?

There are no second chances in Singapore. For me it’s a 1 timed lap tyre.

BUT we get a second qualifying tomorrow, where we get to find out the answer.

AND a Race on Sunday in conditions no one has raced in, with P1, the Sprint being in the day.

A Dominant win with no challenge and Max finally takes home the last missing trophy, or an old rival emerges and the man he needs to beat to do it wheel-to-wheel on track may, just, may be Lewis Hamilton racing on track in similar cars again for the first time since 2021.

The history book will get written on on Sunday. Don’t miss it.
