• CRISTIANA OPREA privately developed Europe’s first BYD Seal 01 racecar, shedding 160kg and installing FIA-spec safety gear, Ferodo competition brakes, and KW suspension for Romanian national championship duty.
• The WRC veteran will campaign the 3.8-second 0-100km/h electric sedan this weekend at Super Rally Timișoara and Bucharest Trophy before targeting 2027 hillclimb development with carbon bodywork.
• OPREA joins Romania’s growing electric racing movement, following Sorin Ghișoi’s 2018 VW Golf GTi, BMW Romania’s Mini, and Dominic Marcu’s Tesla Model 3 and Model S Plaid hillclimb builds.
