GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • LENA BUHLER just shattered a massive glass ceiling, becoming the first woman ever to win a Road to Le Mans race overall. Driving the No. 50 23Events Racing Ligier alongside Mattéo Quintarelli, she made up crucial ground early to position their car in second before inheriting the lead when the No. 29 Forestier Racing entry was penalized for opening-lap contact.
  • The victory didn’t come easy – Quintarelli had to survive intense last-lap pressure from Hugo Schwarze’s R-Ace GP Duqueine, ultimately securing the win by just 0.531 seconds. This marked 23Events Racing’s first-ever victory and perfectly timed with the 24 Hours of Le Mans starting later that same afternoon.
  • The race was absolutely chaotic with three safety car periods, multiple opening-lap incidents, and even a driver getting physical after being collected in Turn 1. Through all the mayhem, BUHLER and her team kept their focus and executed flawlessly when it mattered most, proving that when given equal machinery and opportunity, women can win at the highest levels of endurance racing.
