GRRL! SUMMARY:
- SHERRIE-ANN POWELL delivered a composed P15 finish in race one at Brands Hatch, showing the kind of smart racecraft that’s become her calling card this season. Starting 13th, she held her ground through the midfield battles and stayed clean while others collected track limit penalties – exactly the kind of veteran moves you want to see from someone still building their junior career.
- Technical gremlins struck hard in race two, forcing POWELL to retire after running as high as 13th on the opening lap. These are the breaks that can make or break a championship campaign, but her qualifying pace of 59.985 seconds showed she had the speed to fight for those top-10 results she’s been targeting since her breakthrough at Donington Park.
- The weekend’s third race got axed due to barrier damage from the truck racing series – because apparently someone forgot that concrete barriers and racing trucks don’t play well together. Still, POWELL heads to Thruxton with momentum, returning to the track where she notched her best 2024 results and proved she belongs in the sharp end of this competitive field.
UPCOMING:
- Thruxton – Junior Saloon Car Championship (May 3-4)
