GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • ALEXANDRA VATEVA broke new ground as the first woman to compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux series at Spa-Francorchamps, bringing experience from her historic Porsche Cup Middle East campaign where she secured multiple class podiums. Despite missing pre-season testing, she quickly adapted to show P4 and P5 pace in practice sessions.
  • In Race 1, VATEVA delivered a solid debut performance, finishing 4th in rookie class and 11th overall despite being trapped behind a slower car for most of the race. She was clearly faster but couldn’t find a way past despite applying relentless pressure throughout the chaotic race that ended under Safety Car conditions.
  • Race 2 turned heartbreaking when VATEVA was running a strong race and heading for a clear rookie podium until Dréke Janssen’s car suffered a technical failure and crashed into her Porsche during the third restart. The incident ended her race through no fault of her own, leaving her fourth in rookie standings with unfinished business heading to Zandvoort.

UPCOMING:

  • Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux Round 2 at Zandvoort, June 6-8
