GRRL! SUMMARY:
- While Brent Crews dominated the Springfield Mile dirt track with his second victory there, the real story we’re watching is how ISABELLA ROBUSTO is holding her ground in a competitive points battle. She’s currently sitting behind Jason Kitzmiller in the standings, but that 13-point gap isn’t insurmountable – especially with her consistent performance this season.
- The dirt track racing at Springfield showcased exactly why we love this series – 21 entrants battling it out over 100 laps with only seven drivers finishing on the lead lap. Crews set a blistering pace that left most of the field lapped, proving that when you have the speed and the car setup dialed in, dirt track racing rewards aggressive driving.
- What’s particularly interesting is watching how the points championship is shaping up. While Brenden Queen maintains his 34-point lead overall, the battle for those crucial top-five positions in points is heating up. Kitzmiller’s 10th-place finish despite mechanical issues shows the kind of persistence that wins championships, and ROBUSTO knows she needs similar consistency to move up in the standings.
