GRRL! SUMMARY:
- Kellymoss co-owner Victoria Thomas is building an endurance program around ASHLEY FREIBERG and LONI UNSER for 2025, recognizing what she calls their “really powerful personalities” and ability to deliver compelling sponsor storytelling. The Wisconsin-based team sees strong commercial potential in pairing the two drivers, with Thomas noting that “women do such a fantastic job for the sponsors in terms of the storytelling.”
- Both drivers proved their worth in 2024 Porsche competition – FREIBERG made the successful jump from Sprint Challenge to Carrera Cup North America in the team’s No. 22 GT3 Cup car, while UNSER dominated her Sprint Challenge debut season. UNSER delivered a class win in the No. 4 Cayman GT4 RS and finished runner-up in the Pro/Am standings, showing she’s ready for the next level.
- The endurance program will target either SRO’s GT World Challenge America or IMSA’s Michelin Pilot Challenge, with Thomas hinting at activity in both series. GT World Challenge moves to three-hour races (plus the Indy 8 Hour) while Pilot Challenge maintains its four-hour endurance rounds, giving the team multiple options to showcase their driver pairing in front of substantial audiences.
