AVA DOBSON Leads Strategy Gamble as Weather Chaos Hits GB4 Silverstone Field

GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • AVA DOBSON showed serious guts when rain hit Silverstone, staying on slicks while most of the field panicked and dove for the pits. She lined up on the grid alongside Mayer Deonarine while pole-sitter Jack Taylor started from the pitlane, proving that sometimes the boldest strategy calls come from those who aren’t expected to make them.
  • The weather gamble initially paid off as DOBSON held the lead at the start, though she eventually lost out to Deonarine and later Taylor as track conditions shifted. Her decision to pit for wets under the safety car was smart racecraft, and she brought the Arden car home in 19th – not the result the strategy deserved, but valuable experience in pressure situations.
  • We had solid representation throughout the field with MEGAN BRUCE finishing 12th for KMR Sport, while HOLLY MIALL (Fox Motorsport), LILY-MAY WATKINS (KMR Sport), and CAITLYN MCDANIEL (Fox Motorsport) all completed the challenging race. Bruce’s 12th place finish particularly stands out in a race where even experienced drivers were struggling with the conditions and several retirements shuffled the order significantly.
