• CINDY BARLOW, WyoTech Director of Industry Relations, navigated the precision-based Great Race alongside NINA DARRINGTON, JESSI COMBS’ mother, in a specially-built 1972 GMC Jimmy honoring the late racing icon’s legacy.
• The all-women team faced demanding navigation duties requiring split-second calculations and exact checkpoint timing across Route 66, with penalties assessed for arriving early or late at designated points.
• WyoTech’s Women’s Club contributed hands-on restoration work on the Jimmy build, gaining technical experience while supporting the JESSI COMBS Foundation partnership with JEGS in a nationally-showcased project.
