GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • EMILY COTTY delivered a statement weekend at Vallelunga, sweeping all three Female Trophy victories while setting a career-best 16th overall in race two. The British-New Zealand driver now leads the female championship by a commanding 49 points over PAYTON WESTCOTT and 64 over KORNELIA OLKUCKA – we’re talking about complete domination in a field where she’s won every female category race she’s finished this season.
  • The weekend’s drama peaked when COTTY gambled on slick tires during wet qualifying, nearly pulling off a shock pole position before OLKUCKA’s crash brought out red flags. That strategic risk-taking shows exactly the kind of racecraft that separates champions from followers – COTTY was one of only two drivers bold enough to make the tire call that could have changed everything.
  • While COTTY was the sole female to qualify for the weekend’s final race, both WESTCOTT and OLKUCKA missed the cut in the unique four-race format. WESTCOTT’s weekend included front wing damage requiring a pit stop, while OLKUCKA suffered an early crash after being hit by another driver. The qualifying system meant only the top 36 of 40 entered cars made the final – a brutal reminder of how thin the margins are in junior formulas.
