GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • The 2025 GB4 Championship launched with its most inclusive grid ever, featuring five female drivers across the field. AVA DOBSON led the charge with a breakthrough P10 finish in Race 2, proving she belongs in the top ten conversation. Veterans DOBSON and MEGAN BRUCE returned with clear progress from testing, while newcomers HOLLY MIALL, LILY-MAY WATKINS, and CAITLYN MCDANIEL stepped up from Ginetta Juniors and karting respectively to make their single-seater debuts.
  • DOBSON delivered the standout weekend among the female drivers, climbing from 14th on the grid to consistently run near the top ten before breaking through with that P10 in Race 2. Her performance positions her well for the F1 Academy support scholarship prize money linked to 2026 success. Meanwhile, MIALL showed smart racecraft at her favorite track, finishing as top female in Race 3 with P17 after steady progress throughout the weekend with Fox Motorsport.
  • The karting graduates impressed with their learning curves – WATKINS brought home consistent finishes around P20-22 while avoiding the chaos that caught out more experienced drivers, and MCDANIEL remarkably joined the grid with less than 24 hours’ notice yet still improved each session. BRUCE endured the weekend from hell with contact and punctures sabotaging races where her pace suggested much better results were possible, but she’s clearly got the speed to bounce back at Silverstone.
