GRRL! SUMMARY:
- Six women took the grid at Snetterton for GB4’s fourth round, marking one of the largest female contingents in junior single-seaters this year. MEGAN BRUCE dominated as top female finisher across all three races, delivering stellar recovery drives after a grid penalty to claim her best result of P12 in Race 2. Her consistent performance keeps her as the championship’s highest-ranked woman at P17 overall with 77 points.
- Newcomer FLAME AIRIKKALA made an impressive series debut, scoring two top-20 finishes including a strong P15 in Race 2. The granddaughter of Finnish rally legend Pentti Airikkala proved she belongs in single-seaters after transitioning from the competitive Fiesta Junior Championship. Her weekend showed steady progress from P20 qualifying to consistent race pace that kept her battling in the points-paying positions.
- AVA DOBSON continued building on her F1 Academy wild card experience from Miami, recovering from contact damage in Race 2 to gain five positions in the finale for P14. Currently sitting second among women with 59 points, she’s proven she can run top-ten pace when the stars align. The £50,000 scholarship for the top female driver – funding an F1 Academy seat – adds serious stakes to their season-long battle.
