• HAILIE DEEGAN finished 12th for HMD Motorsports in a chaotic Laguna Seca opener that saw multiple early incidents eliminate several competitors. While Caio Collet and Dennis Hauger battled for the win up front, DEEGAN completed the 35-lap distance more than a minute behind the leaders, showing the work still needed to close the gap to the front-runners in her Indy NXT campaign.
• The race turned into a survival test early on, with three cars spinning in the opening corners and creating a dust cloud that caught out multiple drivers. Jordan Missig and Salvador de Alba were eliminated immediately, while others like Max Taylor and Juan Manuel Correa rejoined but fell multiple laps down. DEEGAN managed to avoid the carnage and keep her car running to the finish.
