GRRL! SUMMARY:
- HALEY SHANLEY turned her teenage passion for motocross into a broadcasting career after excelling in her Minnesota high school’s professional broadcast studio. She credits seeing women like Jamie Little and Erin Bates on the sidelines for showing her a clear path to combine her motorsports obsession with a sustainable career – proving that sometimes the best motivation is simply seeing someone who looks like you doing what you want to do.
- After losing her father in 2019, SHANLEY used dirt bike riding as therapy during the pandemic lockdown, eventually racing cross country and fair races despite the career risks. Her unplanned debut at Border Battle Cross Country saw her finish dead last but completely hooked, later earning third place at RedBud’s Vet MX in muddy conditions that would challenge any weekend warrior.
- SHANLEY’s break into SuperMotocross came through an Instagram DM that initially looked like a scam – Senior Live Event Manager Kat Voiles reached out in 2021. After turning down the first opportunity due to existing Snocross commitments (showing the kind of integrity that builds long-term careers), she was rehired in 2022 and now hosts Race Day Live while providing bowl commentary alongside industry veterans Justin Brayton and Adam Cianciarulo.
