HANNAH MCKILLOP from Scotland took on co-driver duties for Matthew Robinson from Ripon in their Ford Escort Mk2, finishing 15th overall and claiming fourth in their class despite challenging wet conditions and thick morning fog across Yorkshire’s forest stages. Their solid performance stood out in the two-wheel drive contingent, proving that experience and precision can overcome difficult weather conditions in classic rally machinery.
CHARLOTTE WAINWRIGHT from Thirsk guided Rob Fisher to a respectable fifth overall finish in the supporting Mini Challenge, which covered only the opening three stages of the event. Her navigation skills helped secure a strong result in what was essentially a shortened sprint format, demonstrating adaptability when rally formats get compressed due to scheduling changes.
KIRSTY ANGELL served as co-driver for her brother Gary Beckwith from Ripon in their Ford Escort Mk2 battle, finishing 54th overall and staying ahead of local rivals in the competitive class structure. The family team approach paid dividends as they outpaced fellow Yorkshire crew Kari Bates and Graham Haigh by four positions, showing that sibling communication can be a real advantage when reading pace notes through technical forest sections.
