GRRL! musings…

GRRL! has been following Jade for a few years – since she became the first woman to ever win the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Championship (seeing a pattern here?). Her quote “I just care about winning, that’s basically it” is something we could have read and known who made it. Watch any of her interviews and you’ll see what we mean. So Jade. So cool. We’re so thrilled.

GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • JADE AVEDISIAN just rewrote the record books at 19, becoming the first woman to win a Super Late Model World Series race – and she did it by outrunning full-time NASCAR Truck Series driver Dawson Sutton. Her post-race reaction? Pure racer mentality: “I just care about winning, that’s basically it.” No flowery speeches about breaking barriers, just a competitor who woke up focused on one thing and delivered.
  • What makes this win even more impressive is that AVEDISIAN only recently transitioned from dirt to asphalt racing, where she dominated in Micro Sprints and Chili Bowl Midget events. Making the jump between surfaces and immediately taking down seasoned competition shows the kind of adaptability that veteran NASCAR driver Mark Martin noticed, posting: “This girl can drive a race car. It’s going to be fun to watch her continuing progress.”
  • Beyond the history-making moment, AVEDISIAN is building a legitimate racing resume with her part-time ARCA Series campaign for Nitro Motorsports. She represents how NASCAR’s evolution – from Next-Gen cars requiring more technical skills to advanced sim racing and data analysis – is creating opportunities for young drivers to compete at higher levels faster than ever before.

UPCOMING:

  • ARCA Series next race with Nitro Motorsports
  • Potential Super Late Model Series follow-up races
