GRRL! SUMMARY:
- Three-time W Series champion JAMIE CHADWICK delivered a clean start and solid stint in Genesis Magma Racing’s maiden ELMS appearance, helping the rookie team claim second place overall in LMP2 at Barcelona. The 26-year-old Briton is part of Genesis’s ‘Trajectory Program’ evaluation for their 2026 WEC Hypercar debut, working alongside factory drivers and contributing to car development through simulator work.
- The Genesis squad exceeded all expectations in their prototype debut, with CHADWICK taking the opening stint before handing off to teammates Daniel Juncadella and Mathys Jaubert. Despite facing 20 other LMP2 entries, the trio worked seamlessly together, with Jaubert making spectacular late-race passes including taking the overall lead with under an hour remaining before ultimately finishing second.
- CHADWICK called joining Genesis “an absolute no-brainer,” emphasizing the program extends far beyond ELMS racing to include Hypercar development work and potential factory driver opportunities. The team completed 428 laps during testing without major issues, showing the preparation and professionalism that could see CHADWICK and her teammates graduate to the GMR-001 Hypercar when Genesis enters WEC competition.
