• KATHERINE LEGGE made an impressive ARCA debut at Daytona, posting the 10th-fastest time in Friday practice at 180-181 mph. The veteran driver, who’s competed in 12 Rolex 24s and four Indy 500s, will start ninth in Saturday’s 80-lap season opener after confidently declaring her Chevrolet “capable of winning.”
• Team owner Joe Farré praised LEGGE’s discipline after she reported running at only 40-50% throttle during practice, showing the restraint needed for superspeedway racing. Her strategic approach impressed the team, with Farré believing she can “ride up there in that top 10” if she maintains that control through the inevitable chaos of ARCA’s Daytona finale.
• While LEGGE brings extensive oval experience from IndyCar, she’ll face the unique challenge of bump-drafting for the first time on a superspeedway.
