• KATIE HAND from Cabourne is stepping up to the big leagues, joining the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship for 2026 with Team Trasimeno. The 20-year-old has been building toward this moment since she was 13, progressing from a CRF100 to now racing a Yamaha R7 on the world stage. Her wildcard appearance at Magny-Cours last September proved she belongs here – and now she’s making it official.
• Her resume speaks for itself: Darley Moor Junior Champion in 2019, Thundersport Superteen Champion in 2021, and solid campaigns in BSB Junior Supersport before moving to BSB National Sportbike. What we love most? Her no-nonsense take on racing: “I am a huge believer in the fact that a racer is a racer, no matter what gender.” That’s the mindset that gets you to world championships.
• The championship kicks off March 29 at Portugal’s Algarve International Circuit, and KATIE’s already deep into winter testing in Spain to maximize her seat time.
