GRRL! SUMMARY:
- SITARVEE “MINNIE” LIMNANTHARAK and YUNQING “EMILY” ZHAO are stepping up to join the redesigned Kyojo Cup as it transitions to single-seater racing with the new KC-MG01 car. LIMNANTHARAK brings serious credentials from her 2024 Honda City Class B victory and Thai touring car experience, while ZHAO arrives fresh from karting competition at the Rotax Max Challenge Asia Festival.
- Seven seasoned competitors return to defend their territory, including veterans KILEI KANEMOTO, MARIE IWAOKA, AYUMU NAGAI, MIKU IKEJIMA, MAAYA ORIDO, and RYU YAMAMOTO from last season, plus YUIKA HOSOKAWA making her comeback after a two-year hiatus. This experienced group creates a fascinating dynamic as the newcomers face off against drivers who know every nuance of the series.
- The series is rolling out a completely revamped weekend format with Saturday’s new 10-lap “Kyojo Sprint” complementing Sunday’s traditional 12-lap “Kyojo Final.” Add in Toyota and Honda factory support plus new pathway programs through the Kyojo Vita and karting classes, and we’re looking at a championship that’s serious about developing talent from the ground up.
