GRRL! SUMMARY:
- LISA BILLARD delivered exactly what we want to see from women in motorsport – consistency when it counts. The Iron Dames-supported driver claimed back-to-back Female Trophy wins in races one and two at Ledenon, running in the top-15 both times and proving she belongs in the mix with the men. Her weekend only soured when contact in race three ended her streak, but not before she’d already made her statement.
- ANNABELLE BRIAN continues to be the overtaking queen we didn’t know we needed, pulling off remarkable starts and recoveries that had her climbing from 24th to 18th in race one alone. The Dutchwoman was leading the female pack in the final race before getting crashed out – because apparently that’s what happens when you’re fast enough to make others nervous. Her trademark aggressive driving style is exactly the kind of racing we want to see more of.
- JADE JACQUET proved resilience pays off, bouncing back from technical issues and early misfortune to claim her second Female Trophy win of the season in race three. After a frustrating start to the weekend, she found her rhythm when it mattered, overtaking both BRIAN and ANGELINA PROENCA to take the class lead and hold it to the checkered flag. Sometimes the best victories come after the worst setbacks.
- The depth of talent in this six-woman field keeps impressing – SOFIA ZANFARI added two more podium finishes to her resume while HELOÏSE GOLDBERG made steady progress in challenging conditions, and PROENCA showed real pace despite the bad luck. With most of these drivers being single-seater rookies, we’re watching the foundation of the next generation being built one weekend at a time.
