GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • MADELINE STEWART finally broke through for her first championship points of 2024, securing 11th place in the Pro class during Saturday’s race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The JDX Racing driver showed marked improvement from her challenging season start, methodically working her way up from 13th on the grid and staying clean while others faltered around her.
  • The Kiwi racer demonstrated strong pace throughout the weekend, consistently running inside the top-15 overall and positioning herself on the edge of a Pro class top-10. Her qualifying effort of 13th in class marked significant progress, and she capitalized on retirements from Michael De Quesada and Paul Bocuse to move up the order during Saturday’s race.
  • Sunday’s race showed both STEWART’s potential and the learning curve she’s navigating – she was running strong pace and pressuring for another points finish when contact with James Sofronas at the hairpin earned her a drive-through penalty. Despite the setback, she recovered to finish 13th in class, proving the speed is there as the series heads to Watkins Glen.
