GRRL! SUMMARY:
- MADELINE STEWART delivered a weekend of steady progress at Watkins Glen, building on her breakthrough points-scoring performance in Montreal. The JDX Racing driver showed consistent improvement across practice sessions, shaving nearly half a second off her times and proving she’s one of the most improved drivers in the field.
- In Race 1, STEWART navigated a chaotic opening sequence cleanly, moving from 20th on the grid to finish 19th overall (14th Pro class) after post-race penalties. Her racecraft shone through multiple restarts and position battles, particularly her defensive driving against fellow Pro class competitors in the closing stages.
- Race 2 brought the payoff we’ve been waiting for – STEWART scored her second championship point of the season with a 15th overall finish (14th Pro class). She expertly avoided a major Turn 1 incident in wet conditions, then held off a determined challenge from Wesley Slimp in the closing laps, setting a personal best time on the penultimate lap to seal the deal.
