GRRL! SUMMARY:
- MADISON AUST kicked off her 2026 IMSA Pilot Challenge campaign with a solid fourth-place finish at Daytona, proving she’s built on last year’s momentum when she and teammate Suellio Almeida grabbed seventh in the final standings with three top-5s. Even after taking contact during her stint that spun her around, the Bryan Herta Autosport driver and her crew showed the kind of determination that gets you on podiums – they just missed this one by a whisker in the competitive TCR class.
- RILEY PEGRAM delivered the kind of performance that had us all taking notes, confidently running with the lead pack in her first outing in Pegram Racing’s new Honda Civic FL5 TCR before a late-race puncture crushed what looked like a guaranteed podium run. Her teammate Mario Farnbacher spent over an hour leading the race before a pit stop misjudgment and subsequent tire failure ended their day, but not before proving this duo has the pace to run at the front when everything clicks.
- Both drivers showed they’ve matured into legitimate contenders after establishing themselves in 2025 – AUST with three top-5 finishes and PEGRAM with four top-10 results alongside her father Larry. The fact that they were both running in podium positions at America’s most prestigious endurance venue isn’t luck; it’s the natural progression of two drivers who’ve put in the work and earned their place at motorsport’s top table.
UPCOMING:
- IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge at Sebring International Raceway – March 20-21
