• Sixteen-year-old MATHILDA PAATZ is making her F1 Academy debut this weekend at Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve as a Gatorade-sponsored wild card entry with Hitech GP. The German teenager joins teammates NICOLE HAVRDA from Canada and AIVA ANAGNOSTIADIS from Australia in what marks the series’ first visit to the iconic Formula 1 venue.
• Gatorade stepped up with a multi-year partnership through 2030 as F1 Academy’s first official sports drink partner, following parent company PepsiCo’s broader Formula 1 deal. This isn’t just logo placement – managing director Susie Wolff emphasizes it’s a “deeply hands-on partnership” bringing performance expertise directly to the paddock rather than surface-level sponsorship.
• The Montreal weekend features three races instead of the usual two, making up for a weather-postponed race from the Miami round. PAATZ, who also competes in Formula 4 CEZ Championship, called racing on an F1 weekend “a dream come true” and praised Gatorade for “helping pave the way for the next generation of women in motorsport.”
