MAYA WEUG Takes Formula E GEN3 Evo for a Spin at Miami E-Prix

• F1 Academy runner-up MAYA WEUG got her first taste of Formula E machinery at the Miami E-Prix, taking exhibition laps in the GEN3 Evo car. The transition from her usual rides proved eye-opening as she discovered just how much drivers rely on engine feedback for performance cues – something completely absent in electric racing.
• WEUG found the Formula E car significantly more powerful than what she’s accustomed to, but noted that fundamental racing lines and braking points remained consistent. The biggest adjustment? Learning to read the car without RPM changes and engine sounds that typically signal whether you’ve nailed a corner exit or need to adjust your approach.
• Before hitting the track, WEUG picked up valuable insights from ABBI PULLING and CHLOE CHAMBERS, then received additional coaching from Formula E Safety Car driver Bruno Correia. Her Miami experience left her optimistic about adapting to different machinery and keeping all future racing doors open in her career.
