PATRICIJA STALIDZANE Conquers Two Championships While Mastering GT3 Transition

PATRICIJA STALIDZANE proved she belongs at the top when she grabbed her first NLS class win at NLS8 as part of an all-female WS Racing lineup featuring BEITSKE VISSER, CARRIE SCHREINER, FABIENNE WOHLWEND, and JANINA SCHALL. The Latvian driver also made history as the first woman to podium in NXT Gen Cup, finishing second at Sachsenring. Her journey started with a karting championship win over future DTM driver Marius Zug, following in the footsteps of fellow Latvian KARLĪNE ŠTĀLA, who became the first female Formula Renault 2.0 champion in 2007.
What makes STALIDZANE’s success even more impressive is how she’s mastering two completely different racing disciplines simultaneously. She switches between the 200hp front-wheel-drive electric Mini in NXT Gen Cup and the 518hp rear-wheel-drive BMW M4 GT4 on the Nordschleife, adapting her driving style and mindset between sprint races and endurance formats. The 22-year-old admits she’s “way too soft” early in her career but has found her aggressive edge, standing on podiums in both series to start this season.
Behind the wheel success aside, STALIDZANE’s story highlights the persistent funding challenges facing women drivers. She lost major backing during the pandemic, spent 2021 on the sidelines, and has often arrived at seasons with minimal testing due to costs.
