PRICE and GRAY delivered a breakthrough performance, becoming the first all-female crew to race the Desafío Ruta 40 and claim a stage win. The duo’s historic achievement came in GRAY’s competitive debut with Defender Rally.
Stage 5 saw Baciuska and Vidal dominate the 340km special with a 02:53:05 finish, edging Peterhansel/Metge and PRICE/GRAY who rounded out the podium in the rally’s finale across Argentina.
Peterhansel and Metge secured Stock class victory with an 18:11:12 overall time, navigating 1,523km through Andes peaks, dry riverbeds, and massive dunes in the production-derived Defender Octa platform.
Defender Rally achieved perfect reliability, bringing all three crews home across five brutal stages spanning San Juan to Mendoza. Next challenge: World Rally-Raid Championship’s Rallye du Maroc, September 28-October 3.
