GRRL! SUMMARY:
- SABRÉ COOK showed resilience at Miami International Autodrome, qualifying 13th in Pro class before an unfortunate contact incident with Ashley Freiberg ended her first race early. Despite the setback, Cook had been running well and fighting for a top-10 position before the collision sent her spinning and forced retirement due to damage.
- Race two delivered the redemption story we needed to see. Starting 12th, COOK methodically worked her way forward while posting top-5 lap times by the race’s end. She spent most of the race hunting down teammate Paul Bocuse, staying within striking distance before executing a perfectly timed final-lap pass to secure 11th place and valuable championship points.
- The JDX Racing driver’s performance showcased exactly why Miami has been her strongest venue – she’s scored top-10s here before, including her career-best sixth place in 2023. While 11th narrowly missed her season goal of cracking the top-10, COOK’s pace progression throughout the weekend and that clutch final-lap move prove she’s building momentum heading to Montreal in June.
