SALLY MOTT & HEATHER HADLEY Take Center Stage in Amazon Prime Racing Series

• Both SALLY MOTT and HEATHER HADLEY, winners of the Mazda Women in Motorsport Initiative Scholarship a year apart, are featured in Amazon Prime’s new docuseries “First to the Finish” premiering March 25. The series chronicles their 2024 season in the ultra-competitive MX-5 Cup, with MOTT in her sophomore season after a 12th place rookie finish and HADLEY competing in her third year.
• The docuseries goes beyond track action, filming the women at home and capturing vulnerable moments alongside triumphs. MOTT admits the constant cameras and microphones at her first IMSA pro season added pressure but ultimately became motivation, while HADLEY embraced the opportunity to show what women’s racing experiences are really like.
• Both drivers see the series as crucial for inspiring the next generation of female racers. HADLEY hopes young girls watching will think “I can do that,” while MOTT draws inspiration from the Iron Dames all-women team and dreams of creating a racing school for girls. The production quality impressed both when they previewed the first episode at St. Petersburg.
