GRRL! SUMMARY:
- SAMANTHA TAN locked up the GTDX Bronze class championship with a commanding performance at Road Atlanta’s season finale, delivering back-to-back overall GTDX podium finishes while securing two more Bronze class victories. The ST Racing driver showed she belonged with the big dogs, consistently running third overall in a field where many expected her to be an also-ran in her debut GT3 season.
- TAN’s preparation game was next level – she logged more practice laps than any other driver in the entire field, turning limited Road Atlanta experience into pole position for Bronze class qualifying. When the lights went out, she proved track time pays dividends, managing tire strategy and traffic like a veteran while setting personal bests when it mattered most, including fastest GTDX lap on lap 28 of the finale.
- The championship math worked perfectly as TAN sealed the Bronze title with a race to spare after Thursday’s third-place finish, then backed it up with another podium run on Friday. Her gap management in the final race was textbook – opening six-second leads when she had clean air, then driving smart through traffic to maintain position when Kyle Washington closed in during the closing stages.
