SIMONA DE SILVESTRO Goes From F1 Tests to Olympic Bobsleigh for Italy

• SIMONA DE SILVESTRO has officially qualified to represent Italy at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics in bobsleigh. The Swiss-Italian driver who tested a 2012 Sauber at Fiorano but never got her F1 breakthrough has now mastered an entirely different kind of speed.
• After competing across Formula E, IndyCar, and V8 Supercars throughout her motorsport career, DE SILVESTRO made the bold switch to bobsleigh in 2022 and qualified for the Olympics on her first attempt. She’ll compete in both the monobob and two-woman bobsleigh events during the middle week of the games, scheduled for February 6-22.
