• SOPHIA FLOERSCH is bringing serious credentials to her Indy NXT debut with HMD Motorsports – she’s the first woman to score points in FIA Formula 3 and has podium finishes in European Le Mans Series LMP2. Her fifth-fastest time at Sebring testing, within half a second of championship favorite Dennis Hauger, shows she’s not here to make up numbers.
• The German driver’s adaptation to American racing culture is already paying dividends. She topped her HMD teammates including 2024 Rookie of the Year Caio Collet, and her enthusiastic response to IndyCar’s Super Bowl promo suggests she gets what it takes to succeed in this market: “That’s America.
