GRRL! SUMMARY:
- THERESE LAHLOUH delivered a masterclass weekend at Circuit of the Americas, qualifying inside the overall top-5 for both races and showing the kind of pace that makes you wonder why we’re not talking about her more. The JDX Racing driver has quietly been building serious momentum this season, and her consistency in challenging for top-5 finishes in the 992 Pro/Am class is the kind of steady excellence that deserves more spotlight than it gets.
- After missing the podium by a whisker in Race 1 despite some brilliant defensive driving against multiple challengers, LAHLOUH came back swinging in Race 2 with a textbook overtake on Josh Conley that showcased exactly the kind of racecraft we love to see. Her move into turn 11 – going side-by-side down the back straight and executing the cut back on the outside – was the kind of calculated aggression that wins races and should be getting more attention from the broadcast team.
- What’s particularly impressive is how LAHLOUH managed the race once she got into that podium position, setting personal best times while under pressure and then controlling the pace when she needed to. This is her second podium of the season following her breakthrough at Sonoma, and the progression from her recovery drive at Sebring to these consistent podium contending performances shows a driver who’s hitting her stride at exactly the right time.
