GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • THERESE LAHLOUH showed serious wheels in practice and qualifying at Road America, consistently running in the top-5 in class before a red flag disrupted her qualifying session. Despite the setback relegating her to 14th overall and ninth in 992 Pro/Am class, the JDX Racing driver had already proven she had the pace to run with the leaders – a pattern we’ve seen from her all season as she sits third in the championship standings.
  • When the weather turned nasty and forced Saturday’s race postponement, Sunday’s single race became a survival test that LAHLOUH navigated brilliantly. Starting from row seven, she immediately capitalized on others’ misfortune and chaos to move up to the overall top-10 early on. The wet conditions and treacherous track caught out multiple drivers, but Therese kept her Porsche pointed in the right direction while others went exploring the runoff areas.
  • The middle stint got tough when LAHLOUH developed a slow puncture that dropped her back to 19th overall and tenth in class – exactly the kind of mechanical drama that can torpedo a weekend. But instead of letting it derail her race, she dug in and started clawing back positions as the track dried. Her pace improved significantly in the final laps, setting personal bests while fighting back to ninth in class and banking valuable championship points in conditions that separated the racers from the riders.
