LACHLAN TURNER Survives Chaos to Claim Third WMX Crown at Ironman

September 1, 2026

• LACHLAN TURNER secured her third consecutive WMX title through adversity, crashing twice but clawing back to fifth Friday then fourth Saturday—enough to defend a 13-point lead entering the finale.
• CHARLI CANNON delivered perfection with a 1-1 sweep, controlling both motos and fending off MAYLA HERRICK’s late charge Saturday to claim the overall while Turner’s championship drama unfolded behind.
• DANIELA GUILLEN impressed in her WMX debut, the FIM MXGP Women’s points leader posting 2-3 finishes for third overall, passing HERRICK late Friday for runner-up honors in moto one.
• HERRICK rode consistently to second overall with 3-2 scores, pressuring Cannon to within a second Saturday before the Honda rider responded. BRANDY RICHARDS took fifth overall ahead of MIKAYLA NIELSEN.
